01Open call
Unpublished or previously published works exploring the theme of each edition, chosen by a jury specialising in visual poetry.
02Urban route
The selected works inhabit public space: the city becomes a gallery.
03Jury Selection
An indoor exhibition of the most striking pieces from the international open call.
04In situ work
An original piece commissioned each year for a specific place in the city.
05Debate
Conversations between citizens and specialists about the works and the theme of the festival.
Who we are
Poemx pronounced us
The name pays tribute to Alain Arias-Misson and his work Poemx, the Baptismal Public Poem (Knokke, 1970). Regarded as the inventor of the public poem: “a way of writing in the street as if it were a page”.
