Alicia Palacios-FerriValencia

In their words

Miguel and Vicenta are sitting in front of the television, as they have so many times, but now they are covered by a cast net woven by Miguel himself. More than 90 years of life among threads, earth and water. Behind them, the Guadalquivir marshes, the largest rice field in Europe, bear witness to a life bound to the landscape. The land where they were born and that they worked with their hands will live on in their children and grandchildren. Caught but not confined, under a net that shelters them, they represent a rural way of life that is about to disappear.
