Ethernet

Miguel KabukiNavalcarnero

In their words

The term Ethernet names the technological standard used by physical communication networks. It comes from the word ether, the physical concept that became popular in the 19th century: a fluid believed to fill all space and to carry the propagation of light. Quite naturally, the term was chosen to name a kind of invisible network we use to communicate.

«Ethernet», the network that was always there, an invisible and ever-present fabric. An ether imagined and made real despite never having existed.
