Bajo el ojo de nadie
Marta CarrilloAlcalá de Henares
In their words
A gaze that never rests. The work portrays the surveillance network as an invisible presence that seeps into our daily lives. The red eye bursts into a black-and-white scene, becoming a symbol of control, alarm and loss of privacy. The halftone dots reinforce the sense of a fragmented reality, constantly observed and recorded. Between the visible and the hidden, the piece invites us to question who is watching us, what part of our privacy remains intact, and how aware we are of the eyes around us.
